Certificate of poverty is a Group Exhibition that talks about the expanding of poverty in Israel.
My Photos were taken in several places in Tel Aviv.
The tends camp of Arlozorov Street in Tel Aviv. This camp started as a continuity of the Social protest of 2012. People that can’t afford to rent an apartment or people that wants to continue the protest live in tents in a little park next to the main Train station of Tel Aviv.
Another location that I photographed is the Carmel Market where at the end of the day needy people collect all the rests of the merchandise thrown on the ground by the market traders.
In Israel there are many organizations that helps needy people. They work hard to find donations for all those people who need a bed to sleep or a warm meal. One of those is the Lasova organization that gives shelter food and clothing to needy people.
I had the possibility to photograph the Lasova Soup House, an old Synagogue that has been transformed in a “restaurant” for needy persons that can receive a warm meal free of charge and without any need of identification and with great respect.
